My vanity has gotten messy with overflowing products that I just throw into drawers. I’ve kept things somewhat organized with different categories for each drawer; lip products have their own drawer, as do eye products, face products, samples, and daily makeup. As products accumulate and my makeup collection grows, it gets harder and harder to keep things organized. I started a little video series where I show the process of organizing each drawer.
The first video of the series was dedicated to organizing my lip drawer (video and post here). There was a major difference by the end of it!
For this video, you’ll see me organizing my eye palettes and revisiting my lip drawer to do a little update. Watch it below to see my process.
Video – Organizing My Eye Palettes
I didn’t know I’d be able to organize my eye shadow palettes at all. I thought they were destined to be a piled up mess forever. Really though, it was something I could’ve lived with because they were still accessible and easy to get to. However, using the palette organizer (from Amazon!) provided a pretty good improvement to the drawer. It felt cluttered before and for me, clutter=stress. Now, when I open the drawer, I feel relieved that I don’t have to shuffle through multiple palettes to find the one I want. The most-used ones are right there ready to go!
The minor updates to the lip drawers made it easier to have all of my lip products in plain view. They’re grouped by type – lipsticks, balms, glosses and crayons, liners, and excess that wouldn’t fit anywhere. If you don’t clearly see everything you have, it makes it difficult to use things up before they expire and that’s the problem I was having before this organization process started.
