OMG Nail Strips offered to let me try some of their nail strips. I took them up on their offer and picked out a couple designs that I liked. I chose a leopard design and a corset design.
I’ve only used one of them so far – the corset one, or “Lace Up” in their shop. It’s a black and white design that looks like the back of a corset. It came with 14 pieces in different sizes that could be worn on either fingers or toes.
My Corset Nails
I got most of the strips to fit my nails, but I did have to trim the white ones down a lot. Some of the others had to be trimmed a little on the sides. I must have small nails. Also, since my nails aren’t that long, it’s a bit hard to tell what the design is because you only see a small portion of the laces.
As far as the application, it was really easy! I followed their instructions. So, first I soaked my nails in warm water for 5 minutes and pushed my cuticles back. Then I applied the strips and filed the excess away. They went on quickly with minimal bumps, bubbles or flaps. The strips did not come with a file, so I had to use my own, which was fine. I like these strips because they don’t start to fray immediately. Other strips do that pretty quickly and all I want to do is take them off right away. These don’t annoy me and they were simple to apply.
The strips are $7.99 each, which is on the cheaper side when it comes to nail strips. Check out all of the designs at omgnailstrips.com
