Looking for a last-minute gift? I put together some DIY beauty gifts that are quick and cute! I used 4 different containers that can be re-purposed and reused by whoever receives the gift.
These are the containers I’m using. There’s a bucket from the Target dollar area, a mason jar from the dollar store, a regular jar from the dollar store, and an empty candle jar. These are affordable options, but you might even find something you already have at home (like the candle jar).
Then, you just fill it up with some beauty gifts. You can go with drugstore, high end, or a mixture of both. Some good suggestions: nail polish, lip balm, perfume rollerball, blush, lipstick, eyeshadow, gift card – keep it small! The last step is decorating the container. I would suggest decorating with embellishments that can be easily removed if you expect the recipient will be reusing the container. I’ll show you what I did with mine and also some suggestions for reusing the containers.
For this bucket o’ beauty, I stuffed some tissue paper at the bottom and placed the products on top. This way, they are displayed nicely. I didn’t feel like I needed to add any other decoration because the pail has festive red stripes.
As for reusing, this bucket works great as a makeup brush holder!
Now we have the three jar gifts.
For this one, I used an empty candle jar that I cleaned out myself (learn how to clean out candle jars here). I filled it with various beauty products and then made a Christmas label on the computer. I stuck the label onto the jar with glue dots, which will be easy to remove.
Here’s an idea for reusing the jar…
It’s a great way to store samples that come in subscription boxes!
Mason jar gifts are pretty popular on Pinterest. It’s a simple and cute way to give a gift. I filled it and tied some twine around it. Once again, I kept it simple so that it could be reused.
Here’s how I would reuse this jar….
It’s ideal for holding cotton swabs!
The last one is a nail polish gift.
I was able to fit a bunch of nail polishes in this jar because it’s wide. Then I stuck some washi tape around the jar and a 3-D paper bow on the front.
Here’s how it can be reused…
This jar is ideal for holding cotton balls and cosmetic sponges!
