Clip-in hair extensions are pretty cool. Why? Because within a couple minutes, you can add length and volume to your hair with extensions and it takes the same amount of time to remove them. Simple and easy! You don’t have to commit long term and you can style them any way you want.
Irresistible Me contacted me and offered to send me a set of their clip-in hair extensions to try. Prior to the offer, I had never tried any form of hair extension, ever! These were uncharted waters for me, but knowing how popular clip-in extensions were, I wanted to see their greatness for myself.
Irresistible Me Hair Extensions
First, a little about Irresistible Me. They offer two main types of clip-in extensions: Silky Touch and Royal Remy.

- More pricey
- Also comes in various lengths and weight options.
All of the extension sets come in a variety of shades and are 100% human remy hair. They can be washed, styled, cut, and colored.
Irresistible Me also carries clip-in highlights and ponytails along with full lace wigs, accessories, and styling tools.
My Experience
Since I’ve never tried hair extensions before, I can’t compare these to any others. What I can do, is share my overall experience with them.
As a beginner, these extensions were easy to use. I figured out where I wanted to place them on my head and then sectioned off my hair so I could attach them. The clips open and close easily. My hair isn’t that thick nor does it have much texture at the roots, so it can be hard getting anything to grip onto it and stay in place. Therefore, the clips wanted to slide down my hair. That’s the only part that gave me some trouble at first. With some backcombing and hairspray, I was able to fix the problem and move on.
The color of the extensions blends with my own hair really well. I was surprised at how close it was to matching my hair color. The hair itself is thick; so thick that if I wore all the pieces in my set at once, it wouldn’t look right. I’d be swimming in hair. The great part about that is I can choose how many pieces I want to have in my hair for the day and switch it up if I want.
Now, what you’ve been waiting for….the before and after pics!
I also wanted to try styling the extensions, so I curled them while they were on me. They were fairly easy to curl and of course it took me longer than normal because I was working with a lot more hair than usual. I love the result though!
It does feel a little odd to wear extensions at first. There’s suddenly extra weight on your head and it’s not as easy to run your fingers through the roots of your hair. You can definitely feel that the extensions are there, but no one can see where they clip in. I don’t plan on wearing them all the time, but it would be fun to wear them for an event or a night out. I can only imagine how great they’d look with a long, flowing, sparkly gown!
