Currently, one of the biggest trends in makeup is contouring/highlighting. If you’re a makeup lover, it’s likely you’ve tried this technique a time or two. It’s not the easiest thing to get the hang of and it’s not always easy to know what products are best to use for it either, especially knowing which ones will give you a less overdone look. One of the products I’m using for a natural contour and highlight look is the You Sculpted! Contouring Palette from IT Cosmetics.
IT Cosmetics You Sculpted! Contouring Palette
About
You Sculpted! is a universal contouring palette, meant for all skin tones and skin types, that can be used for face and body. It was developed with plastic surgeons to look like real filler and facial contour so that your contouring can look natural. It contains 6 shades – 4 for contouring and 2 for highlighting. There’s a face map inside the palette and a little booklet that comes with the palette to guide you on how and where to apply the powders.
I use the You Sculpted! Contour & Highlighting Brush (also from IT Cosmetics) with the palette. It has a flat handle and a narrow brush head with dense hairs that create a flawless, airbrushed look. It blends the powders from the palette easily, making the whole contouring process a breeze.
Natural Contour?
This pair definitely makes contouring more simple (it’s actually hard to mess up!). You don’t get a harsh application; it all looks super natural, which is what I like. I’m not into the intense contour and highlight look. Not to mention, it takes a lot more skill and careful application to get that look to work right and to me it just looks so obvious. But hey, whatever sprinkles your donut, right?
I think this palette is awesome for beginners as well as experienced contour lovers. If the contour/highlight trend interests you, get your hands on the palette and the brush. You have to play around with it and experience its simplicity for yourself!
