Happy 5th Birthday Peek & Ponder!
Last month was Peek & Ponder’s 5th birthday. That’s a huge milestone that needs to be celebrated, don’t ya think? Five years ago, I started Peek & Ponder (Peek.Ponder.Publish then) in need of a creative outlet. I wanted to see what I could make of it, but never thought it could get this far. What started as a hobby has turned into something much more and I’m so proud of it. I can’t wait to see it grow even more.
The best way I can think of to celebrate this occasion is with a beauty giveaway! Obviously.
Giveaway Prizes – Over $180 Total Value!
- (4) ion Color Brilliance Metallics Temporary Liquid Hair Makeup ($29.96 value) (Rose Gold, Gunmetal Gray, Empire Gold, and Silver Streak) – I made a blog post where I showed the Rose Gold on my hair and you can see me applying the hair makeup in this video. These work well and are easy to apply!
- Pacifica Power of Love Eyeshadow Palette ($20 value) – includes 10 mineral eye shadows infused with coconut water for a cream-like finish. I have one of these in my collection too!
- Sonia Kashuk Brush Set ($39.99 value) – Good makeup brushes are always necessary and this 12-piece set will help you apply the makeup items included in this prize pack!
- Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit in Gleam ($40 value) – The Glow Kits seem to be highly popular right now and though I haven’t tried them myself, I’m envious of whoever wins this! It contains 4 gorgeous powder highlighters that give you a lit-from-within glow.
- IT Cosmetics Confidence In A Cream ($48 value) – I’ve been using this as my daily moisturizer and you can see more about it in my last post. Awesome product!
- LORAC Love, Lust, & Lace Matte Eye Shadow Palette ($12 value) – I picked this up quite awhile ago and it claims to be a $50 value but since I only paid $12 I’m not going to pretend I would’ve paid $50. Even so, I love LORAC shadows and I like that this one is all matte.

With defining…I just don’t have the knack
I struggle with putting on eyebrow makeup. I never can get it right.
I struggle most with my eyebrows. Mine are so thin and so I have to color them in, I just want them to look natural and have a great curve… and have never been able to do it!
Eyeliner for me – I blame it on old eyes, or 40-itis as my eye doctor called it, and not seeing as well as I used to. ๐
My biggest makeup technique I struggle with is applying Liquid Eyeliner. I end up having to keep redoing the line and still end looking like a Raccoon.
I struggle with liquid eyeliner. I have trouble with doing straight lines.
Getting concealer to actually look good without being too thick. ๐
Definitely trying to get a nice wing eyeliner
I am basically terrible at all makeup applications, lol. I’ve never had anyone teach me. I just stick with simple.

I struggle with contouring and baking.
Eyliner and lip lining.
I can’t get foundation right at all. Every time I’ve tried it just highlights my pores and calls attention to everything I am trying to minimize. Horrible! I’ve given up and just wear primer then the eye makeup and lipstick.
That happens to me with certain formulas where you can see every flaw of mine. I think it’s about finding the right foundation for your skin.
Definitely eyeliner. I just stopped trying.
Eyeliner can certainly be tricky!
You nailed it, I cannot apply eyeliner no matter how I try.
I have a tally sheet going that’s showing me that most people are having that problem. You’re not alone!
My eyebrows!
As try as I might, I can never get the perfect winged eye liner. I blame it on my eye shape, lol…
I struggle with two – my brows and my eyeliner. My vision is worse in one eye and I’m left-handed so I’m always struggling to make things even

I struggle with finding an eyelash curler that gets close enough without punching. I also struggle with eyeliner and not having any eyelid show between the lash and lid. Also I think sometimes my liner on the bottom would probably look better in a brown and not going all the way across but when I try try it from the outer corner going across a little ways and stopping it feels to me like it looks awkward even when I smudge the end to not be a sharp end.
Thanks so much for this opportunity and CONGRATULATIONS on your Blogiversary!!! You deserve the prize.
I struggle with eyeliner the most, but I’m pretty terrible at it all.
I struggle with msacara, all brands seem to end up smudged under my eyes at the end of the day!

Oh I have to say I struggle with all of it ๐ Mostly the eyes though. Need to learn better techniques for eyeshadows
Not to just copy your example answer but I cannot apply eyeliner. I’ve been trying for so long I just gave up and sometimes just use a small brush and apply a slightly darker shadow. I’m not very good at shadow either, my smoky eye looks like a pirate.
