The T3 Twirl 360 isn’t your average curling iron! It uses some pretty cool technology that sets it apart from any other hair tool out there. Keep reading to find out how it works!
About the T3 Twirl 360 Curling Iron
The T3 Twirl 360 is a motion-sensing auto-rotating styling iron that uses gyroscopic technology, which is used in aviation and space exploration. It detects motion in your wrist, which determines the direction in which the barrel turns. The result: beautiful curls with little effort!
How it’s used
- The power button is used to turn the iron on and off, and it’s also used for speed and temperature. You can choose a fast or slow speed for the barrel to turn. A slow speed is suggested for shorter hair and a high speed is suggested for longer hair. Once the iron is on, you can set the temperature from 260°F to 410°F (low for fine hair and higher for thick hair). There are 5 heat settings.
- Once the iron has reached the desired heat, you can grab a small section of hair and clamp it onto the iron. Then glide it to the end of your hair.
- Hold the ‘GO’ button near the barrel, then rotate your wrist in the direction you want the barrel to turn. This will determine the direction your curl will fall. I like my curls to turn away from the face, so I turn my wrist towards the back of my head. As soon as you turn your wrist, the barrel will start to turn in that direction. Keep holding the go button until you reach the top of your hair.
- Take your finger off the ‘GO’ button to stop rotation and hold the iron in place for a few seconds. Then, simply press down on the lever to release your hair.
More features of the iron:
- It has a 1.25-inch barrel
- It has a cool tip for easier handling
- A 9 ft. swivel cord makes for easy maneuvering and rotation
- Works with any hair type and various lengths
- It comes with a little mat to rest the iron on to prevent surfaces from getting hot.
My thoughts & experience
Since I’ve never used any curling iron or hair device that works like this one, it took a couple times before I got used to it. Once you get into the groove of pressing the button while turning your wrist, it starts to come more naturally. I had the speed set to fast since I have long hair and that really sped up the process for me.
The curls turned out to be loose and tousled the first time. The second time, I held my hair on the iron a little longer and that made for tighter curls that lasted longer. Both looks were pretty though!
The only downfall for me is that the lever is a little short, in my opinion. My right hand, which is my dominate hand, worked with the lever easily, but when it was time to switch to my left hand, I had a harder time being as coordinated and found it a little more difficult operating the lever comfortably. I, personally, think a longer lever would help, but I know as I use the iron more, I’ll be able to handle it easier in the future.
All in all, my experience with the T3 Twirl 360 has been positive and I like the way it curls my hair. Not once did it tangle or pull at my hair. It was a gentle process. I think the technology of it is super cool too!
