One of the things I love about being a Birchbox subscriber, is being able to purchase products from the shop with the points I’ve earned. I’ve been accumulating points through giving feedback on the products in my boxes and referring new people to the service. I had a total of $70 to spend! So, I picked out a couple of things and this Juice Beauty set was one of them.
I’ve heard a lot about Juice Beauty before and I’ve seen it at Ulta. I’ve always wanted to try some things from the brand, but it seems to be a little pricey, in my opinion. To be honest, I don’t mind spending more money on good skin care; I just like to be able to try it out first. So, if there are trial sizes or value sets, I’m likely to purchase those first to test them out. I think it’s a smart strategy and it has worked out for me so far. Who wants to be stuck with a $40 product they don’t like??
The thing that led me to buy this set was a sample of the Blemish Clearing Cleanser that I got in a Birchbox. It was a decent size and a perfect sample to receive. Once I tried it and used it consistently, I realized how awesome of a cleanser it was! It turned me on to trying more products from Juice Beauty.
Juice Beauty Organics to Clear Skin Set
Each product in this set is made with certified organic ingredients and ideal for those with oily, combination, or blemish prone skin.
Blemish Clearing Cleanser
A cleanser that cleans deeply, removes impurities, clarifies, hydrates, and clears blemishes.
For my skin, it works perfectly. I have combination skin that can be blemish prone at times, mostly around that time of the month. This cleanser feels gentle on my skin but is also very effective. It clears up breakouts and then keeps my skin clear. I feel that my skin is more balanced, smoother, and radiant looking when I use it.

Green Apple Blemish Clearing Peel
This peel exfoliates, clears complexion, repairs, heals, and evens skin tone.
I haven’t had a chance to use this peel much, but I know it’s a cult favorite with overwhelmingly positive reviews. It’s easy to use and supposed to bring great results. You apply it to your face after cleansing, leave for 10 minutes, then rinse. My initial observations – my skin feels super smooth and looks bright after using this peel.

Blemish Clearing Serum
This serum reduces breakouts, clears clogged pores, evens skin tone, renews skin, fights free radical skin damage, and hydrates. It’s used on the entire face or on blemished areas both morning and night.
The nice thing about this serum is that it’s not a heavy cream. It feels light on the skin and is completely clear in appearance. I’ve used it all over my face and also just on active breakouts. I don’t actually need it too often because of that amazing cleanser, but when I do, I notice a difference. It calms irritation overnight and seems to prevent new breakouts from forming.

Oil-free Moisturizer
A lightweight moisturizer that balances skin, while it clears, hydrates, and soothes.
I like that this moisturizer does some balancing because my combination skin needs it. It’s not greasy, but it feels like it adds a lot of moisture. I’m going to continue to use it, although I already have a moisturizer I love, so it might be unnecessary for me to buy a full size. A pro to this moisturizer is that it works well with these others products I’m using now and that might be a reason to switch over.

*This set also came with a soft eco-washcloth as an added bonus!

After doing some quick math, these products would’ve come out to $118 if I had gone and purchased the full sizes from the beginning. Instead, I have smaller sizes that I can try at a much smaller price. Since I used my points on this value set, it was free for me, otherwise it’s only $39 (for a $55 value). If I didn’t have points to use, I still would’ve purchased this set out of curiosity though.
You can buy a very similar set at Ulta or JuiceBeauty.com. The product sizes are a bit different. The specific set I have is available in the Birchbox shop.
