One of my favorite things to try in the land of beauty is foundation. Finding a great foundation can be tricky though with different finishes and levels of coverage. I had the chance to try the highly popular Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation along with a matching concealer. I have to say that I’m beyond impressed! I went to my local Nordstrom store to be matched with a Double Wear foundation. There are a number of foundations in the line but I wanted one that had good coverage, lasted all day, and looked natural. The beauty advisor at the counter chose the Stay-in-Place foundation for me and matched me with a shade. I told her I also wanted a concealer to go with it, so she suggested the Double Wear Stay-in-Place High Cover Concealer.
About Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place Foundation
The Stay-in-Place foundation is available in 30 shades ranging from light to deep. It’s a long-wear foundation that can be worn for 15 hours without any touchups! It provides medium to full coverage and is buildable. It leaves a natural, semi-matte finish that lasts all day for a flawless look, even through heavy activity.
Sometimes, even the best foundations have some hangups, so I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one. I found the “15 hour wear” claim to be intriguing, though I didn’t know if it would hold up. To be honest, I cannot find one single thing wrong with this foundation. It really does last all day and stay in place. It doesn’t wear off, shift, rub off, or fade. The semi-matte finish allows me to forgo a powder and it actually stays semi-matte all day. I don’t get oily or even have to touch up throughout the day. It’s lightweight and fresh-looking. It doesn’t irritate my skin or break me out.
My boyfriend and I want to go on some fun road trips this Summer. This foundation will be ideal for long car rides, sightseeing, and spending time in the hot California sun. I’m confident that it will stay put through all of our adventures and activities with its amazing staying power. I’ll be able to have fun and look great without worry!
The Double Wear Stay-in-Place High Cover Concealer pairs well with the foundation. It has high coverage and 12 hour wear! It covers my dark spots, redness, blemishes, and imperfections perfectly. It holds up all day too. The foundation and concealer make a perfect duo to keep me looking flawless.
