It has been quite awhile since I’ve done any sort of nail post. Partially because I didn’t think I was that good at them. I enjoy doing my nails though and my polish collection has grown tremendously, so I think it’s reasonable for me to start featuring my nail creations a little more often. Today I’m showing you my blue, copper, and black nails. China Glaze’s Don’t be a Flake inspired the color scheme.
Nail polishes used:
- China Glaze Don’t be a Flake
- China Glaze For Audrey
- Zoya Tanzy
- Orly Liquid Vinyl
- Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure Copper Penny
I started with a base coat and then covered my thumb, index finger, and ring finger with For Audrey. I applied Tanzy to my middle finger and Liquid Vinyl to my pinky. Once those dried, I added Don’t be a Flake to my ring finger. At the same time, Copper Penny went over Tanzy. I placed striping tape on my thumb and painted Liquid Vinyl over top to create stripes.
This color combo was a little out of my comfort zone, but that’s a good thing! I totally gravitate toward girly colors. Reds, pinks, purples, nudes, glitters – I have a natural attraction to them. Over time, I’ve been incorporating more colors into my polish collection, so I’m trying the greens, blues, neons, and less “attractive” colors.
What do you think of this color combo? Would you wear it?
