Yep, I did some shopping for Black Friday, which now partially starts on Thanksgiving. Is that silly or what? Right when people are supposed to be enjoying family time. We go from being thankful for what we have, to buying all the things in sight, within a couple hours. Even so, on my way home from my parents house, I pass by all the good stores: Best Buy, Ulta, Victoria’s Secret/Pink, H&M, Charlotte Russe, etc. Target is across the street from where I live and Walmart is a minute away. For the stores that started the deals early, I had to stop by and see what I could find. Check out everything I got in this Black Friday beauty haul!
This year, I actually got to Ulta right when the deals started and snagged the things I wanted.
From Ulta:
In my shopping bag:
- Bare Minerals Stunning Cheeks Blush & Brush
- Nivea Kissable Lip Care Collection
- LORAC Vintage Vixen Eye Shadow Palette
- LORAC Sultry Starlet Eye Shadow Palette
There were a lot of deals available, but not much that jumped out at me. I picked up the LORAC palettes first and then the Bare Minerals set. I grabbed the Nivea lip care duo when I was standing in line. Bare Minerals seems to have a lot of value sets frequently, and this particular one is still available on Ulta’s website for $10. The LORAC palettes were a little more surprising at $12 a piece. I had to have them.
Then I ordered from Sephora.com because I live a half hour away from Sephora and I knew the mall would just be crazy. I go to the biggest mall in the Sacramento area. I went there a week before Black Friday and it took me 20 minutes to find a parking spot. I was not about to get trampled at the mall for Black Friday shopping. I can’t even imagine the craziness. The good part about ordering online – I was able to use Ebates and get some money back!
From Sephora
In my shopping bag:
- First Aid Beauty FAB Star Duo
- Too Faced Primed For Sex
- Origins Task Maskers
- Free Makeup Bag with Samples
Each set was just $10. I couldn’t resist. I’ve heard too many good things about First Aid Beauty, so it was a good opportunity to try it out. I have tried Origins before and liked it. The three little tubes that came in the set are super small though. They’re pretty much deluxe-sized samples. I’m okay with it because I’m still able to try these products I haven’t used yet. I’ve used both products from the Too Faced set. I love them both, so why not??
I chose the makeup bag filled with samples and then realized there were others available that had bigger, better samples. I found that out about 2 seconds after I made my order. The samples in this bag are just little packets. So boohoo for me! Oh well. The makeup bag is still pretty cute!
My birthday was in November so I was able to add my free gift to my order too.
I’m excited to try my new things. I didn’t go crazy for Black Friday and I hadn’t intended to. I got just enough to make me happy.
