As a blogger, I’m always trying to improve my lighting and picture quality. Now that I’m making videos too, I really need some good lighting, especially in Winter. I put a light set on my Christmas wishlist on Amazon and Mark got it for me. He gave it to me early since the box was wayyy too big to wrap or put under the tree. I’ve been playing around with them for the past couple of days and I notice a big difference already.

Right now, I have 2 lights set up. I have to rearrange my office in order to fit all 3 comfortably. Luckily, I already have that plan in the works anyway.

Here’s a before and after selfie pic I posted on Instagram earlier:
In the ‘after’ picture I have the lights on. My face is lit up evenly rather than on one side where the light from the window comes in.

Here’s a picture of the polish I used for those red nails under the lights. I like that the lights added contrast and dimension to the bottle.

I’m really happy to have these lights. I’ve been wanting lights for such a long time. They take up a good amount of room, but it’s fine with me. Our office is kind of my blogging/makeup room anyway. I still have to practice with them for product photography and video.
